Vanessa graduated from UNISA in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts and Law degree. Vanessa was an assistant to the Cheadle Commission, appointed by the Minister of Labour to draft the new Labour Relations Act, and assisted in the establishment of the Commission for Conciliation Mediation and Arbitration (“CCMA”). Vanessa worked at the CCMA and the International Labour Organisation (“ILO”), where she received extensive experience in the development and delivery of employment law related training, before serving her articles of Clerkship with Justin Lapin Attorneys. Vanessa joined Andrew Levy and Associates, where she ran the litigation department and presented conferences and seminars nationally on a variety of Employment Relations topics. She has also managed Employment Relations and developed training material for the Institute for International Research. In 2003 Vanessa commenced practice under the banner of Henry Attorneys. Vanessa has litigated for and consulted to both the Public and Private sector. She has also trained ER for some of South Africa’s leading Companies and Organizations. Vanessa is an accredited trainer and assessor with the Services SETA.
